The grade boundary for a Level 7 in IBDP English A Paper 1 is usually between 17 to 20 (20 being full marks), with four marking criteria each worth 5 marks. What does IB imply here?

所以 ，我最近跟助教們都在忙碌教授 Year 13/Grade 12的學生如何寫好 Theory of Knowledge (TOK) essays。 不要看輕TOK跟Extended Essays 的三分，是升大學非常重要的關鍵。整體Core Subjects 和 Internal Assessments 的評分在2025年開始都比之前更加嚴謹，每年都只得少於10%的IBDP考生能全拿三分。 而Core Subjects全都是我們 IB 的 External Examiners評分的，跟校內廢廢的老師們無關。連VSA今年都很多學生TOK拿C，同學們絕對不能掉以輕心！

The reason is simple: Candidates have never learned how to write proper literary analysis at school in essay format. However, being able to write essays on literary analysis (ranging from 300 to 400 words) is the first and foremost English skills that Year 7-13 / Grade 6-12 students need to acquire, if they want to excel in their IBDP studies. There is a tremendous price students have to pay if they deliberately evade taking subjects in literature during their I/GCSE stage

When students are in a rush during exams, they tend to ignore grammatical accuracy and vocabulary sophistication. However, this oversight would definitely cause them marks. Students should remember it is customary to use present tenses at all times when writing literary analysis (even if the author is dead). Remember to keep your use of present tenses consistent throughout your essays to demonstrate professionalism and exam mastery.

A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams I've never liked the play much; however, since I quoted Ibsen's A Doll's House last week, I feel obliged to quote Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire this week. Frequently paired as examined texts in IBDP English A Paper 2, these two plays are compared and contrasted to shed light on females' struggles under patriarchal confinements in 19th Century Norway and 20th Century America.
