”I have always thought of Christmas time as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.“
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
The entire title of this novella is ”A Christmas Carol in Prose; Being a Ghost Story of Christmas“, published in 1843. The story centers around an old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge, who is transformed after being visited by the ghost of his deceased partner, Jacob Marley, and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. The novella explores themes of redemption, compassion, and generosity.
Although Jesus wasn‘t really born on 25th December (according to most scholars), His teaching of brotherhood and forgiveness is what matters most. At this festive season, I wish this world and everyone peace, harmony, and above all, love & light. ❤️
