Kylie Leung | A* - English Literature

I lacked foundation during Year 9, especially when the Literature papers tortured me. I was pretty astonished by Miss Jamie's teaching experience and background, so I immediately contacted Alpha Education for a lesson.

For First Language papers, Miss Jamie has a broad collection of online resources and past papers. Every 2-3 lessons, she will provide us with a new set of papers, while combining her personal teaching resources to enrich our understanding of the IGCSE examinations. For Literature in English, she will provide us with her personal model essays and notes from her impressive students, while explaining every requirement for each paper. Before joining Jamie’s class, I wasn’t entirely sure about the standards for handling English Literature. Then, I learnt how to approach those questions after a few months, while being able to analyse the English literature poems with much ease, thus linking the text back to its history.

針對第一語言試卷，Miss Jamie擁有豐富的線上資源與歷屆試題庫。每上兩至三堂課，她便會提供新試題集，並結合個人教學資源深化我們對IGCSE考試的理解。至於英語文學部分，她不僅提供個人範文與優秀學生筆記，更逐題解析出題要點。在加入Miss Jamie班前，我對文學應試標準始終模糊不清；幾個月後，我不僅學會解題策略，更能輕鬆剖析詩歌文本，將文學作品與歷史脈絡緊密連結。
