Skipping annotation and planning due to time pressure leads to unfocused, repetitive essays.
This weakens coherence, reduces Criterion C marks, and ultimately prevents achieving a Level 7.
Due to time constraints during actual exam setting, many IBDP English A candidates gave up on annotating the text and planning the essay structure before writing. However, these candidates have to pay a price for such hastiness.
Marks will definitely be deducted in Criterion C for an obvious lack of focus and coherence. These candidates usually end up being repetitive, which would also cost them Criterion C mark.
Final result?
