I have never been really confident about my English ability when completing the IBDP program. However, since attending Miss Jamie’s Game-Blasting Summer Course, I slowly gained confidence in my writing ability. I really enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere Jamie brings to the classroom which really motivates me to strive and openly share my opinions. I thank Jamie for equipping me with the essential literary devices and writing skills to excel in my studies. Thanks to Miss

IBDP English was a very difficult subject for me. However, Miss Jamie gave me a lot of resources and personalised feedback which helped me feel more confident in this subject. Miss Jamie is also a very engaging and supportive teacher who helped me develop a positive attitude towards IB English, which definitely attributed to my success in the final English exams. I am very grateful for all the help Miss Jamie has provided.

國際學校學生都需要參加公開試，還是每年跟全球其他一百多個國家、幾十萬人一起拼搏成績的那種公開試。

你是否經常陷入一種「假性忙碌」的狀態？感覺自己從早到晚都在處理各種事情——回覆訊息、整理筆記、瀏覽資料——但一天結束時，卻發現最重要的任務根本沒有進展。時間就像流沙，不知不覺就從指縫中溜走，只留下焦慮和疲憊。 問題的根源不在於時間太少，而在於缺乏一個有效的時間管理系統。高效的學生並非擁有更多時間，而是更懂得如何駕馭時間。他們知道如何區分輕重緩急，如何保持專注，以及如何將遠大的目標分解為可執行的步驟。

很多國際學校老師常常「指導」學生做一些既無聊又低智商的寫作舉動，讓我非常感謝他們幫忙其他考生......拉低國際試的 grade boundaries ，讓我的學生能扶搖直上。 都高中了，考大學了，還在教Year 7/8程度的每個段落只分析三個quotes，IGCSE也只能拿個 C 吧。 真正的IBDP狀元，寫的內容豐富、分析全面，每個段落七至十個quotes 少不了。 IBDP 不獎勵保守， 它只獎勵 控制得住複雜度的人。

讀國際課程，尤其是讀IB，一個強調學生需要建立全球視野的體系，不能不知道這個世界在發生甚麼事。 要考好IBDP的英文科，學生是需要對世界歷史、政治、經濟也有廣泛的認識。 IB著重跨學科探索，英文的考卷常會出一些有歷史和政治背景的文本， 如果學生沒有「底氣」， 便會連卷也看不懂。

在IGCSE的英文和文學考試裡，題目及mark schemes 寫得清清楚楚需要考生分析作者的 "use of language and structure" (文字和結構上的寫作手法)。 但很多考生還是只分析language ，當看不到要分析 structure 的要求。 不寫，通常是因為不懂寫。但不懂寫便去學寫，而不是乍看不見。 因為mark schem

要視乎年紀。小學是輕鬆的，但到了中中和高中，一樣都是卷。唔卷唔得，因為會考不到好的大學。

在國際學校長大的學生，像我女兒一樣，沒有受過傳統直資學校的「Copybook 洗禮」。還記得小時候，小一至小三都被學校安排練字 -- 中文要寫毛筆字、英文要寫 Copybooks。到了小三，還要學好寫英文潦草，字體必須要寫得秀麗有氣質。

新學年，讓我們重溫 IB 的核心精神：IB Learner Profile (學習者特質)。這十種特質——探究者、知識淵博的人、思考者、交流者、有原則的人、胸襟開闊的人、懂得關愛的人、敢於冒險的人、全面發展的人、反思者——不僅是為了應付考試，更是為了培養你成為一個能夠貢獻世界的未來領袖。

很多人常常說新加坡的IB學校很有名、IBDP成績很好，但對於真正了解IB的人來說 （像我）：唔好玩啦！ 新加坡其實只有一、兩間學校成績比較好，考的亦是11月份的考期，競爭比我們香港5月份的考期少很多。而看整體的考生成績，香港的IBDP考生成績好很多，好不好！ 過往全球IBDP成績最好的學校在俄羅斯，平均分43分（IBDP成績45分為滿分）。但由2025下半年開始，俄羅斯政府因為政治原因ban了IB課程，即是我們沒有了俄羅斯的唯一競爭對手。 在每年全球十大IBDP成績最好的學校裏，我們香港便佔了三所。沒有了俄羅斯，2026年有機會四所了。 你或者你嘅小朋友讀緊 IB 嗎？你點睇新加坡 vs 香港？
